Free Web Hosting Servers

It seem to this old man that sooner or later everybody wants to have their own website. My wife is not one of them or my old boss, but most young people do. I personally have too many website, never being satisfied with just one, so now I have to maintain them by updating the content and letting folks know the shop is open. For some reason, when I'm asked to help someone build a website, they want a free web hosting server. Of course, that is not how they say it. They think a server is the girl down the block at the local cafe.

Well, what they want is a free website and they don't have the slightest idea about how to go about it. I tell them that if they are on the Internet, their ISP has free web hosting servers. I tell them they can put up a website on the server of the company that supplies them their Internet service, their ISP or Internet Service Provider. I usually take them to their ISP and show them what is available. Also there are many free sites on the Internet. Just search for "free website" and you will find many. I think I put one up at Google just for the fun of it. It's probably still there waiting for an archaeological to dig it up.

I tell them that these free web hosting servers do not require a domain. They usually provide a simple template for creating a site.

I don't think much of these free servers. I think it is better to purchase a domain name and then have it hosted with a reliable hosting company. These are hosting companies with a good reputation. There are others that may be less reliable. I've had some bad experiences.

Some folks don't understand what a domain is but it identifies the site as being unique to you. The name of the domain is very important. It should be selected very carefully. For a personal site it may simply be your name. For a content site, the name should be chosen after a keyword search showing the popularity of the keywords used and how many sites they have in competition. There are free keyword tools such as the Google External Keyword Tool and the one provided WordTracker. I use a commercial tool.

Once you have a domain, join a hosting program and upload your files. We were talking about free hosting servers and now we are saying forget that, and go to a commercial hosting site. I suggest that you obtain your domain name at the hosting company. It may be less expensive and they will help you upload your files to their server by FTP or some other protocol. You will want to manage your files. Your hosting company will probably supply you a free FTP program or they are available free all over the Internet.

For files to function on your server so that they can be viewed by your browser they must be encoded using what is called HTML Your host should give you a program to prepare your files and no need to worry about the HTML. If your host has access to WordPress, you simply select a template for your site and then follow the instructions.

If your serious, you will have a home page using the name of your site. This will be uploaded to your server as index.html and and that file must be there. If you upload your file and look at the files with your FTP program and you see that your home page is not called index.html, then simply rename it right on the server. For a business site add a Privacy and About file. Just click on such files on a site and see what is there then apply it to your site.

The Job and Advantages of an SEO Reseller Program

Ever since the internet has evolved into one of the largest market places in the world, many new marketing concepts have been given birth to. Amongst all these new marketing concepts, SEO reseller is one of the most prominent ones. SEO stands for search engine optimization, which is a mechanism that helps online businesses to improve their reach and authenticity by appearing on the top pages of the biggest search engines that are being used like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. Through these various SEO services, online businesses are now able to advertise and market their services and products to their target audience over the internet, hence reaching out to a much wider audience at a much lesser cost. SEO reseller is pretty much like the traditional offline sales mechanism adopted by hiring marketing agents except that in this case the marketing and sales is done over the internet.

There are several SEO resellers that are quite easy to join and do not require any special qualification to be able to do so. The only one skill that is required for any person looking to joining a SEO reseller program is the innate ability to be persuasive and know the right form of communication to convince targeted customers of their products and services worth. Through this SEO reseller program, the resellers get paid quite a handsome salary for their services and success in selling packages and products effectively. The handsome amount that these SEO reseller programs pay to their resellers is the main reason why this job is most popular amongst stay-at-home moms and retired dads and anyone else who is trying to have an extra source of income to reply on. As long as you have good marketing skills, you can easily excel with any SEO reseller program and earn a lot of money.

The advantages that you can get by joining a SEO reseller program are countless. A SEO reseller program is considered to be a very profitable venture that can be easily set up by any SEO service without having to invest too much in its infrastructure. The biggest advantage of setting up a SEO reseller program is that you do not need to hire any staff. Most well reputed SEO services do not even ask for any initial fee for signing up with their SEO reseller program. This is what really makes an SEO program such a cost-effective means of earning some extra cash. More than that, if you join a good reseller program, the service provider will further facilitate you by offering you dedicated support for any matter that you might find difficulty handling. The support is also extended to the customers that you are selling their packages to as a reseller.

Keep in mind that a SEO program is basically collaboration between an SEO service provider and a marketing agent whom in other words is also referred to as the reseller. This is how the reseller is quite a win-win situation for both parties involved, the reseller and the service provider. But the main factor is that service provider is well reputed and the reseller is working hard. Only this will lead to a strong package and results that can attract more and more clients and make the reseller program beneficial and profitable for both parties. But considering the latest trend in online businesses and the high demand for quality SEO programs, this area has a lot of potential. With the right amount of dedication and hard work, anyone can profit from this niche market segment.

How to Differentiate Between SEO Companies

When it comes to differentiating between search engine optimisation companies, many people succumb to the temptation of labelling companies according to their perceived ethical standpoint. While it is certainly important to bear ethical practice in mind when choosing between SEO companies, there is more to differentiating between companies than the simple white hat or black hat opposition.

Any business decision should be motivated by a desire to make the greatest possible profit while incurring the smallest possible risk. Choosing a search engine optimisation company should be no different. One common risk faced by businesses seeking an SEO agency is that some such agencies engage in illegal techniques. In extreme cases, these might involve hacking into authoritative government domains and creating unsanctioned links. Involvement with this type of clandestine activity can land an organisation and its associates in severe trouble. Without performing in-depth analysis, there is no easy way to tell for sure whether a particular company breaks the law. There are several indicators, among the most reliable of which is whether a company lists testimonials from recognised brands on its website - this is a good sign that they are trusted by companies with the resources to investigate the matter thoroughly.

One of the best ways to differentiate between search engine optimisation companies is by assessing their relative performance. This can be difficult without access to detailed analytics, and even when case studies are provided as evidence of success, these can sometimes be misleading. Client testimonials are one of the strongest ways to differentiate between SEO agencies on the grounds of performance, but it is best to obtain these 'straight from the horse's mouth' wherever possible. Although some companies are too busy to respond to such requests for information, many will make time to promote their trusted partners to other businesses.

Another useful way to differentiate between search engine optimisation companies is by searching for competitive terms related to the industry and seeking out their position. Although many SEO campaigns are successful by focusing on less competitive keyterms that demonstrate a strong desire to purchase a particular type of product, search engine optimisation professionals should have the necessary know-how to get themselves ranked for extremely popular search terms. If a company is relegated to the umpteenth page of search results for the term "search engine optimisation company" then that company lacks either in knowledge, business sense or operations capacity.

Personal correspondence can also be a good indicator of whether a particular agency will form a positive working relationship with your business. In some cases, a search engine optimisation agency may have all the skills and testimonials in the world, but some strong personalities or methodologies that make them incompatible with your business vision. In these cases, it is always best to go with your gut instinct.

Ultimately, you will have to rely on your business acumen to differentiate between one search engine optimisation agency and another, but bearing the above factors in mind can help you to make an informed choice.

What Is Backlink Building?

Backlinks, also known as inbound links, play a key role in search engine optimization. The more backlinks you have, the more popular your website is. Inbound links are essential for SEO because search engines give more credit to those websites with a high number of quality backlinks, and consider them more valuable than others. Sharing your content on social media sites and posting on forums are some of the best ways to get relevant backlinks.

What Are Quality Backlinks?

Search engines determine the value of a backlink based on several factors, including the authority of the site linking to you. If both websites have content targeted towards a specific subject, the inbound link is recognized as relevant. Authoritative backlinks are highly valuable. Search engines have strict rules about the relevance of the link text that you are going to use.

When calculating the relevance of a website to a particular keyword, Google takes into consideration the number of quality backlinks pointing to that website. Backlinks that come from websites with poor content and low page rank can harm you in the long run. Getting a backlink from a website with high page rank adds value to the link. It's better to have a few links from well established sites than hundreds of backlinks from low raking websites.

Ways to Get Backlinks

One of the best ways to get inbound links is to participate in the community. Leaving comments on blogs and answering questions can help you build a strong online presence and gain credibility. You can get quality backlinks by posting on forums, social networking sites, video sites, blogs, and Q & A sites.

Web directories are very useful to those who are trying to promote their online business and get relevant backlinks. Submitting your website to directories is probably the single most important way of link building. Webmasters can choose from hundreds of free and paid directories. If you want to get quality backlinks, submit your website or blog to directories with high page rank. You should consider using article marketing. Writing quality articles will help you build loyal readership and gain natural links to your site.

Writing press releases is another way to get organic backlinks to your website. A professionally written press release can bring you hundreds and even thousands of visitors within hours. Your link building campaign should also focus on guest posting, link exchange, and blogging.

Importance Of SEO For Wedding And Portrait Photographers

Photography has come a long way over the years. From a hobby, it has transformed into a very lucrative hobby with a commercial touch to it. Wedding, portrait and nature photographers are thriving. Human beings can never resist themselves from getting involved in self appreciation, and photographers are their angels as these people know the skill of capturing images in just the perfect light. No wonders, brides and bridegrooms in weddings and others in routine celebratory events are more than happy to part with heavy money to have themselves clicked perfectly. Weddings will continue to happen, and wedding and portrait photographers will stay in business. Along with weddings, all other occasions that demand the presence of a photographer to click the perfect images will keep on happening. In other words, photographers will have loads to cheer about, but only if the number of photographer never increases. This will not be true, and this necessitates that the photographers seriously use the Internet to catalyze their progress to great success.

SEO for photographers is one reliable technique to break away from the crowd and place oneself above the ground level, well in sight of prospective clients. In fact, getting the SEO aspect right can win most of the battles of Internet marketing for photographers. In such a scenario, photographers need to dig in really deep and extract out the perfect keywords they would target. Rather than using the name of the business as the keyword or choosing a dozen different general keywords, photographers would do well to spend some additional time in thinking and hitting upon a keyword that would be extensively searched and closely related to the kind of service being offered. For instance, a photographer named Tim Jones and living in Chicago with specialization in nature photography would do well with a keyword like "nature photography Chicago" rather than something like "Tim Jones natural photographer."

Once the keyword is decided, the second step of optimizing the page for the particular keyword. Any basic SEO guide can be a good starting point for photographers making their beginning in this field of Internet marketing. Photographers with multiple keywords need to create optimized web pages for each of the keyword phrase.

While learning about and implementing SEO for photographers, it is important to know as to how deep you need to dive into this vast ocean to be able to pluck the treasure you want. Full blown SEO strategies will also include almost crazy tracking of blogs and incessant pursuit of every opportunity of placing your name and link without blowing sirens off. In most cases SEO for photographers can do without such extensive scope. The idea is to bring about enough business, and not too much business! For instance, Internet Marketing for photographers looks for placing your contact on one website dedicated to the kind of clients you can cater to rather than flooding hundreds of others which might not be entirely useful.

Is Meta Tag Information Still Relevant for SEO?

Have you considered implementing an SEO strategy for your website? If you have done any research on what SEO is, the benefits of SEO, or SEO implementation strategies, you have most likely stumbled upon some articles referring to the importance of meta tag information. Meta tag information, for the most part, is the information placed between the <HEAD> information in the back-end of your website. This information is a communication portal to browsers and search engine spiders and isn't visible to human visitors to the website.

Meta tag information used to be a powerful tool for webmasters to easily achieve higher rankings for their websites. Webmasters would place a long list of target keywords, otherwise known as "keyword stuffing," in the meta keyword field and generate a bit of traffic for these phrases without having any relevant content on the webpages. Search engines have long since caught on to this practice and have made it much more difficult to achieve high rankings for keywords. In fact, if you do try to perform the old practice of "keyword stuffing," whether in your meta information or within the body of you content, your website SEO will likely suffer. "Keyword stuffing" along with many other practices are now considered a Black Hat SEO practice. If an SEO firm promises overnight success, they are most likely using some Black Hat SEO techniques that will have a long-term negative impact on your website.

Although meta tag information is not the "one-stop" solution to SEO that we'd all like it to be, it still plays an important role in the health and optimization of your website. The following are a few meta tags that can be used on your website and how they can assist with SEO, usability, and performance:

    * Page Title Tag - this isn't technically considered a meta tag, but it falls within the <HEAD> area of a website. The page title tag is the text that appears in the top tab of an open browser window. Adding keyword phrases to the page title tag is not only still important for SEO, but it is also sometimes used as the clickable title in search results. Since this portion of your meta data is read by humans you should focus on making the text not only keyword optimized but also interesting, eye-catching, and legible. Lastly, keep your page title tags to 69 characters, including spaces.

    * Meta Description - the meta description is still important for SEO, but the keywords you place in this section are weighed less heavily than in other parts of your website. The real benefit behind meta description these days is that it is usually used by directories and search engines to describe the webpage. Each webpage should have a unique short meta description, 160 characters or less (including spaces). We suggest keeping the potential visitor in mind and write descriptions that will entice people to click on your link from the search results.

    * Meta Keywords - the meta keywords section provides additional text for search engine spiders to help catalog webpages. The meta keywords section has a very small impact on SEO and many search engines no longer support meta keywords so don't spend a lot of time on this for each webpage. Instead, focus on including just a few unique target keywords on each webpage for the few search engines that still support it. Keep in mind that the meta keywords you include should also be mentioned within the content of the webpage to reinforce to search engines that your webpage is about the chosen meta keywords.

    * Meta Robots Tag - these meta robots tags let web developers tag certain pages of the website to keep search engine spiders from indexing them. This can be very helpful if you are developing new pages that aren't ready, contain old content, or are duplicate webpages. Maintaining a clean and healthy website, by controlling pages being indexed, can have an overall positive SEO effect on your website.

Setting up meta tag information on your website will not automatically lead to a #1 search page result, but used in tandem with other SEO strategies it can definitely help your website succeed.

Organic SEO Service Provider: Content Is King

Writing quality content on your website is they key to attracting more visitors and building loyal readership. By integrating certain elements into articles, you can make them easy for search engines to find. These elements will drive traffic to your website and improve your search engine rankings. Make sure that content is unique and relevant to your site. Although SEO important, all articles should be written for a human audience.

Here are a few simple tips on how to optimize your content for search engines:

Write Well

Search engines love quality content. If the people who visit your website find your content interesting, they will link to it and share it with their friends. If your articles are not good enough to attract organic links, it doesn't matter how "optimized" they are. Writing content that focuses on interesting topics in your industry will help you gain recognition and become van expert in your field.

Create a Captivating Headline

A compelling headline makes the reader want to find out more by reading the article. Your headline is the first impression you make on a reader. Most people will read your headline, but only a few of tem will go through the whole article. Write a captivating headline that promises answers to a problem and creates curiosity. Tell your readers about the main benefit found in the story. Use the active voice.

Choose the Right Keywords

Stay focused on one keyword phrase per article. Remember to keep the text natural and flowing. Use proper keyword density. Don't stuff keywords into paragraphs. Spread them evenly throughout the article. Adding dozens of keywords into your content looks unprofessional. It is recommended to use keywords in the introduction and conclusion. Don't sacrifice quality for keyword ratios.

Make Your Articles Interesting and Readable

Short paragraphs are easy to read and understand. Your paragraphs should contain three to five sentences. Long paragraphs discourage your readers from even trying to understand your articles. When you want to give a sense of action, use short sentences. Include lists and bullet points in your content. These elements allow readers to glance at a page quickly and understand what the article is about.

Make sure your articles are original. If you add duplicate content to your website, you might end up getting penalized by search engines. Creating quality content is not something that people can master overnight. With time, you will learn how to write compelling articles that attract both search engines and people.

Outsourcing SEO VS In-House Services

After making the decision to implement a search engine optimization strategy for your website, you are left with another question that you will need to answer before moving forward - will you outsource your SEO to a professional company or will you complete it in-house? Let's weigh up the pros and cons of each.

Pros of In-House

    * Getting your SEO done in-house means that the staff will know your business inside and out, allowing them to understand even the smallest aspects and challenges.
    * In-house SEO can give you complete control over the strategy itself, as well as how it is executed. Changes can also be made very smoothly.
    * The person working on your SEO in-house can focus their full attention on the success of your website, as they won't be working on anyone else's at the same time.

Cons of In-House

    * As SEO is a quickly changing area, the person implementing the strategy needs to ensure that they are kept up to date with the various algorithms being used by the search engines. In-house experts often struggle with this and, as such, require occasional refresher training.
    * As the person working on your SEO strategy will have a lot of work on their hands, it could result in them using outdated techniques (without realizing) that could hugely affect the ranking of your website.
    * Effective SEO requires the use of a lot of tools, which means that you will have to purchase them for your in-house expert. Learning how to use each of these tools can also take up a lot of valuable time.

Pros of Outsourced

    * By outsourcing your SEO services to a specialist company, you can rest assured that you are receiving the expertise of a wide range of people, as it will be a team working on your website rather than a single person.
    * You want have to dedicate a lot of time, money and man-hours into training up your staff to be in-house SEO experts (or hiring someone to take on this role).
    * The outsourced company is able to focus solely on the SEO of your website and will not be affected by all the other aspects, such as the marketing.

Cons of Outsourced

    * By hiring an outside company to undertake your SEO for you, you will generally have to invest more money into the process then you would if your strategy was done in-house.
    * As the company will be handling the SEO of other websites as well as yours, there is no telling how much time and effort they will be putting into your strategy.
    * Some companies are known to utilize cheap or even black hat SEO techniques that will do more harm to your website than good.

As you can see, both options have their fair share of pros and cons - ultimately, it is your decision on whether you decide to implement an SEO strategy in-house or get an outside company to do it for you. Choose wisely and you will have made a wise investment.

The Collision of Social Media, Local Search Marketing and Mobile Apps

Marketing seemed simple in the days of billboards and yellow pages. Now yellow pages go straight from porch to recycle bin. Billboards and other conventional methods are no longer creating the pull they once were.

This shifted people to one of the new forms of marketing that have grown increasingly popular. The popular methods are listed below

    * Social Media Marketing is about socializing with your potential market.
    * Local Search Engine Optimization is about optimizing and marketing to your local market.
    * Mobile Apps and Marketing is about reaching your consumers where they are by reaching them on their phones.

Which one is right for my business?

Many business owners faced a problem of deciding which one of these three would be the right decision for their business. What may be good for you as the business owner may not be where the target market is. Thus you might try choosing the marketing that reached the majority of your target market. That would have worked just a couple years ago, but the market changed.

How did marketing change?

Just like the yellow pages, single format marketing is fading in reliability and reach. Ignoring two or one of the marketing formats means your market reach is no longer growing. This is why SoLoMo is the growing trend.

This hybridization of Social Media, Local SEO and Mobile App Marketing is able to reach a larger majority of the market. People are able to use their mobile devices to do a local search on businesses and check social media sites for additional reviews.

Why did marketing change?

Smartphones and mobile devices are being implemented by ever-increasing numbers. In fact, international research firm Parks Associates forecasts over 2 billion people worldwide will own at least one smartphone in 2015, with unit sales growing over 175% from 2010. This means that businesses that leave mobile off their marketing budget will suffer.

Where a computer would base local on the IP address, the mobile device gives location-based on physical location. When a person searches for a coffee shop nearby, it gives shops that are close to where that person is physically and how far away. If the person has a favorite type of coffee shop like Starbucks, then they may even have a mobile app that shows them the closest location.

What about social media?

While that is location-based mobile apps, social media is far from being excluded. Your potential customer may go directly from location search to social media to ask friends and family for personal reviews. They may choose Yelp or social apps like Foodspotting to see other reviews.

Social doesn't stop at your door. The person may check in via Foursquare, Facebook or other social site. This could be an invitation for others to join them or create conversation. Your visitor may take pictures via their phone, or add social media commentary or even write reviews about the experience with you.

Then the SoLoMo process repeats itself with the next customers who look for your business. Your customers and clients are basing their buying behavior on this SoLoMo cycle, so ignoring it is a risky move. Start your SoLoMo marketing now.

Using SEO For Internet Marketing

Search engine optimization is a very popular technique used by modern internet marketers to achieve their various marketing goals. SEO is a bit more technical than the traditional methods of marketing but it is fairly easy to implement. While many people are confused as to how exactly to define SEO, I prefer to define it as a set of practices that will make it easier for search engines to evaluate the quality of your website.

Another reason that SEO is so popular is because it well documented and it can easily be outsourced. Articles and various other search engine optimization tasks are some of the most highly outsourced jobs. While it does not take much skill or knowledge to write SEO articles, there are certain instances where it is desirable to make sure that your articles are of a certain quality.

Quality and originality are two things that are fast fading from the world of internet marketing. In an attempt to get the most out of their SEO practices, marketers often engage in unethical practices. When trying to build an online reputation with SEO, we should always try to implement practices that are both favored by search engines and are of some value to your internet users. Especially considering the latest Google Panda Update and how tough online competition really is, using underhanded SEO techniques could very well result in your website being blacklisted by search engines. With that being said, it is pretty much imperative for the success of your SEO campaign to use white hat SEO techniques that will realize your short term goals of increasing your search engine ranking position (SERP) and also ultimately result in more business for your company. Some of the most popular SEO techniques are:

    * Keyword optimization: Finding the right keyword for your business is the cornerstone of every SEO campaign. Search engines will evaluate the quality of your website by taking your keyword and comparing how competitive your website is considering other sites with the same keyword. This is why it is essential to make your keyword as unique as possible as this automatically narrows your competition. Including your keyword in certain tags of your website also helps search engines understand your content and if they can categorize your site better, they are more likely to send more traffic to your site.

    * Content: Content can be defined as the audio, video and template of your site and the reason why content is so important is because it lets you achieve a lot of goals. Using content you can inform potential customers about your product or service while at the same time making your website user friendly. Moreover, with the uprising of social media, content literally lets you market your website on auto-pilot. If you can offer something of value to your target customers then chances are that they will share it with their peers.

Search engines always want to provide users with a quality browsing experience and as long as you do that, search engines will hold your site in very high regard. Therefore whenever you come cross a new SEO technique or a new software, you should always ask yourself "Does this improve the quality of my site?" Building organic traffic may take some time but as long as you properly utilize your resources, the results will be apparent soon enough.

How to Get Your Website on Page One - SEO

The best websites are not necessarily the most attractive. Once you have created your website and have some great content to share with the internet world, you will need to properly market the site so it reaches the screens of the millions surfing on the internet every day.

The quickest way to find what you need on the internet is to use a search engine. These amazing tools can get you a large number of quality websites within seconds of typing your question. On average users will only need the first maybe second page depending on the nature of their query, so how do you get your website on these pages?

The technique used to push a website up the rankings is referred to as Search Engine Optimisation or SEO. This is basically making your website easily accessible to search engines where they can find and check your content so they can include it in their search results when a lucky surfer wants what you have. Being on those first two pages is massively important if you want people to see your website. There are a number of key things which can be done to increase your chances of having a search engine friendly website.

Top tip 1- Google loves nice easy sites
Making sure your site is simple and clean will mean search engines, mainly Google, will be able to 'crawl' the site effectively. You will not get ranked any better for amazing graphics or flash images, keep it simple with correct folder structure, site map and HTML readability.

Top tip 2 - URL must be nice and friendly
When search engines look at website addresses they like to be able to read key words separated by hyphens or underscores. Keep number or code out of main pages as this will put search engines off your page.

Top tip 3 - Invisible flash, what's the point?
When building a site it is easy to be drawn into using flash images and detailed graphics. The problem with this is there needs to be text-based descriptions attached to the images in the HTML code to enable search engines to fine your site. The HTML text is important for bots to find your pages.

Top tip 4 - Keyword ninja!
When researching your market it is important to do keyword research too. These are the buzz words or phrases that are searched for and used every day in your niche. Decide on keywords which are used by people to find your site and use these as your basis for content. Your URL is the first place to have your keywords, if possible. Next, your homepage needs to contain some too as it is the landing page for many visitors. The content on your site must contain these keywords, do not spam them but cleverly insert in your text for clear searching.

Top tip 5 - Add fresh content often
Adding new and unique content to your blog will keep customers informed of new developments but it will also alert search engines to the fact that your site is active and publishing new content. This will mean it is worth ranking regularly and will help it creep up the rankings.

Top tip 6 - Use social media
Using social media to promote your blog is an important tool in SEO. You can post content to multiple social media sites to create huge numbers of backlinks to your site which will increase visibility.

Top tip 7 - Backlinks
It is important when posting content outside of your site that you use a link in the text or author sig to link back to your site. This will create something called backlinks which will increase rankings in the search engines.

Expectations From SEO Services

The aim of Search engine optimization service is to increase the ranking of clients in the search results. A prominent position virtually guarantees a click. Thus, it can be safely said that the ultimate aim of a search engine optimizing firm is to increase the profits of its client company.

Higher ranking in results is crucial in the SEO business. A great website is not enough; it must be shown to the world. In the world of search engines, it means that maximum number of users must click on the title result and then browse through the target website. They should know the products and services being sold and the offers presented. A search engine listing assists the client to search for the product or service she seeks. The client may choose a package that best suits her business requirements.

Most of the optimizing companies assure their customers a top ten ranking in a major search engine like Google. But keep in mind that this takes time. As a client, you can expect a gestation period of minimum three months before the desired result is seen. Many times, it may take more months to achieve a first page ranking. This is particularly true in case of websites that are in a high competition niche. In this type of cases, the correct choice of keywords becomes paramount.

A good SEO company always practices an ethical strategy when ramping up the client's rankings. Custom SEO packages are offered to the clients. The SEO package is made to a particular company's specific ranking requirements and presented to the client.

A professional SEO services company usually follows transparent business practices. Detailed reports are given to the client at regular intervals. Tips on SEO Outsourcing to SEO Specialists

SEO is the most widely used method of marketing a website. To inexperienced people, it is an entirely new and strange field. But, there are currently thousands of expert SEO specialists all over the world. These specialists have a lot of knowledge and experience of SEO practices. They use this information and experience in order to secure high rankings on the search engines for their clients. They typically do this through the use of keywords and link building.

When a website owner looks to expand their business and attract more customers / clients one of the best decisions that they could make is to outsource their SEO to a SEO specialist firm. This article discusses how to judge whether or not a SEO specialist is good at what they do and whether they can provide you with the services that you need. Note that it is more affordable to hire a freelance SEO specialist than to hire a SEO firm or a specialist as a permanent employee.

If you do not actually require the specialist to do more than just gather information then you can outsource the work to a newbie SEO specialist. However, if you are outsourcing to the specialist so that they can do everything for you it is best if you hire someone with many years of experience and has a proven track record of getting good results for previous clients. So before you outsource any SEO work it is important that you look into the history of the various specialists. A good SEO specialist will be able to handle all of the businesses' SEO needs. They will be able to secure good rankings for the businesses' websites in online directories but also in the most popular search engines used by web surfers. This is the only way to guarantee that you get what you pay for when you outsource your SEO.

Good SEO specialists will stay away from the use of unethical methods that will result in the site being classified as spam by the search engines. This means that they should have an in-depth knowledge of the different criteria used by the search engines to rank sites, or to classify them as spam and provide them with no rankings at all. In addition, the specialist whom you outsource for your SEO services has to be able to perform their work without compromising the quality of the content of the website, the design, and the code. They do not have to be web designers, but they should be familiar enough with this to be able to not affect it in a negative way.

This is very important because codes that are cluttered do not get good rankings in the search engines. A bad SEO specialist will compromise the reputation of the site with the search engines, and it will be very hard to get good rankings in future. They also have to make sure that the code does not have any errors. When link building, the best SEO specialists will be able to find other websites that are related. These websites have to have existing good rankings already in the search engines. Some of the key determinants of getting good rankings in the search engines are to have titles, image ALT tags as well as Meta tags in the website. These have to be embedded within the website code so the SEO specialist should have the skills to do this.

In order to have a long-term relationship with the SEO specialist to whom you outsource the work they should also have expertise in pay-per-click campaigns. SEO practices are only suitable for new online businesses. Once they have been established and wish to grow further they need to expand into different advertising methods. One of the best ways is through the use of PPC. In order to avoid having to look to outsource to another SEO specialist in future it is better to build a relationship with someone who has various skills right from the beginning.

Keep Your Business And Facebook Account Secure

With all the information that is available online, many will try to take advantage of it. Malware, spam, and hacking take place on a daily basis, with victims as countless as the stars. But not all threats are directly destructive. Often, many do nothing more than appropriate and redistribute your personal information in contact lists that others will use for whatever purpose, be it harmless or harmful. Regardless, you don't want to take that chance. When you're in the online world, you have to take precautions, be safe, and protect yourself and your sites from unwanted eyes.

Your Facebook page

The Facebook page is possibly one of the biggest targets for information seekers. Because of its very personal, but very public platform, Facebook is going to be one of your biggest sites you need to take precautions in securing.

The first step is to limit those who have access as administers to your Facebook page. You don't want everyone having control of your account, so designate a select few to handle maintaining your page. It's easier to keep control of your page in a smaller circle where you can easily keep track of and retrace what takes place.

One of the primary problems you need to be aware of is who has access to your information. The biggest third-party users of your information are the apps that Facebook links with. Whenever you click on an app available to Facebook or other social media, you instantly get a "contract" that pops up for you to agree to. Each app on your page targets certain information, all of which is usually your personal information that would normally be for friends only viewing. Something you might not always look for is what they use that information for. Be aware of what you're agreeing to, or your information might end up in the wrong hands.
Change it up

Change your passwords frequently. Though this seems like common sense with hacking a frequent issue these days, it is something that we can't forget to do regularly. If you're having trouble juggling your multiple accounts and passwords for you and your team members, there are programs that offer password management services for companies to keep your sites protected without slowing you down each time passwords change.

Keep it secure

As an extra precaution, using the "https" on your Facebook link will help keep you secure while you're on their site. Rather than rely on regular security that would let you wander onto pages, links, or sites with potential threats, the "s" helps keep you on safe sites wherever you browse and will alert you if you're leaving a safe location. If a website allows you to link this way, do it. Many large websites will provide a secure search option as long as you add the "s."

Keep an eye on things

It is important for an administrator to constantly keep an eye on what goes on with their Facebook page. Scams through postings are easily done, along with potentially harmful or spiteful posts designed to hurt your image. You and your team will need to constantly monitor what your users are doing on your wall. You don't want anyone visiting your site only to find that their account was hacked when they clicked on a link on your wall.
Block and guard

Something extra that Facebook offers is their block list option in your edit profile section. It's easily done, and can prevent any unsavory words from being spoken on your page. You don't want to deter anyone from visiting your site with anyone's poor use of language. Another benefit to the block list is that it lets you block "spam" type words. If someone tries to post something completely off your page's subject matter, such as an offer for a condo in Hawaii on your page designed to discuss proper business etiquette, they won't even be able to post it. Of course, this takes some investigative thought, and possibly a little research and up-to-date news on malware and spam related topics. But, if you keep up with your custom block list, you can prevent any problems before they have a chance to start.

Securing your Facebook page is relatively easy. All you have to do is know how to manage it properly. The last thing you want for your business is someone hacking your account and taking it for a spin around the block with outrageous or malicious posts and links. Protect yourself and your business by ensuring the security of your internet use.

Deep Link - Boost Your SEO Services

For any business to make a powerful web presence it is very essential that the content and information provided on their website is crisp and visible at one click. Deep link plays a pivotal role as it takes you to a specific inner page among various other pages within the website. It is an inbound link that points to the different inner page of the website domain. The inner page usually carries all the expected and common keywords and phrases. In order to stand out and be visible on the various search engines when searched for using related key phrases these links are utilized.

Deep link is usually used to improve SEO (search engine optimization) services. They not only increase the ranking for the individual page but also increase it for the website's homepage. Thus, they help to improve the overall website. This allows your web pages to appear instantly when searched for using keywords. Hence, the growth in SEO gives a chance for the web pages to be included higher in the search engine results. Deep linking is the process where a hyperlink is created that directs you to a specific page on a different website altogether. This link can be directed to any web accessible page other than the standard landing page.

Deep link helps in getting high quality back links for your website's inner pages. The popularity of your link will be enhanced by making use of the powerful link building strategies. When ranking of websites is done, ranking is given to individual pages and not the website as a whole. Hence you can witness the difference in the ranking of pages of the same website. Only the home page of your website gets listed in the search results is just not enough it is equally important that the inner pages of your website to get top rankings. Thus, in order to make enhance your visibility it is advisable to hire a company that offers deeplink services.

There are many companies that offer deep link services. Some of these offer you efficient delivery of the web content network that helps the website content to spread at a faster pace across diverse geographical locations. This acts as an added user benefit as it helps the website to load fast. These companies also enable the inner page SEO of your websites to be listed for top keyword searches which in turn improves the conversion rates of your website. All these factors prove the importance of deep linking. It also improve the quality of indexing, enabling your website's inner pages index faster.

Now that you have a rough idea of how all this functions and how important deep linking SEO is? You must hire a professional company that offers you these link building services. So worry no more about diverting traffic on your page and just sit back and relax as the companies that provide deep link service will do the necessary job for you.

5 Signs of a Bad SEO Services Company

SEO is not just about naming pages and creating keyword phrases, it is much more. Search engine optimization is in fact a critical tool to advertise a website to search engines' crawlers and help the site rank on top slots on search engine result pages. Make a quick search and you are likely to find hundreds, if not thousands, of companies which are into SEO services. SEO is essential for your website, but, picking up a right service provider is more important. Picking up a wrong one is likely to cause more damage to your website, instead of any gain. Go through the 5 signs below which will help you avoid scammers in the industry.

Sign 1: Free Trial Services

Simply raise your red flag if you come across any of these free trial service providers. Never hand over your password and access information to these individuals who come to you, promising free SEO services for a certain time.

An experienced search engine optimization company in India will not make such promises. It knows that good SEO requires both expertise and time. Noticeable results can not be achieved in a fortnight.

Sign 2: Promises of Top Rankings

If an SEO services provider promises you top rankings, that too without even looking at your website, you better move on. Getting ranks on Google is not a child's play. And, it also requires time. It is to be noted that Google analyses a lot of things before giving a website a particular ranking.

Sign 3: Search Engine Submissions

Many companies can be found telling their clients that they will submit their websites to hundreds of search engines. Well, you should not get impressed, because there is no point in this mass submission, especially when they are not used by your target audience. Wisdom lies in focusing on a few ones only. In fact, you need to be more focused on your customers.

Sign 4: Link Building

Creating too much links in a very short time period and that too, with the wrong sites, is more likely to hurt your website rather than helping it. Search engines may consider this practice as Black hat SEO and penalise for the same. So, if any SEO services provider comes to you and promises hundreds and thousands of links to your site, just say that you need time to think on it. Also remember not to put low-quality SEO links on your website.

Sign 5: They Do Not Answer Your Questions

If this company does not seem very keen on answering your queries, it is best to move on. A company which only talks about what it can do, instead of asking you about your business, your purpose for promoting this site, may not be your best option.

The Basics of SEO in 2012

SEO, the short form of Search Engine Optimization, is a modern marketing tool mainly used to promote internet businesses. It is the creative use of keywords by business owners to improve their online visibility through a high ranking by search engines. This tool has become so popular that even offline merchants are using it to achieve their marketing goals.

In order to benefit from SEO, you need to learn how to use keywords. Search engines use keywords to rank your website. To be ranked high on popular search engines, you need to make use of the most appropriate keywords. Keywords are the gateway to your business, since your customers find you through keywords. Therefore, when selecting keywords for your site, you need to have the customer in mind and think about all possible search terms they are likely to type as they search for the products you offer. Google has a keyword tool that helps you generate the most appropriate keywords for your site. You need to have primary and secondary keywords. Secondary keywords are often referred to as LSI terms, and these are variations of the primary keyword.

LSI terms are used to make your site friendly to search engines such as Google. The keyword density affects your ranking. A keyword density of 2 per cent is favorable enough, but exceeding a density of 4 per cent can drop your ranking so that your customers will only find you on the last page of search results. A low ranking occurs when you do not use the right keywords, or when you over use the primary keywords. If your site displays on the first page of search results, you are likely to increase the number of clients, expand your market and make more sales. This is the chief purpose of SEO.

Another thing you need to know about SEO is keyword distribution. You can use social media to attract new clients, but this often happens through directory submissions. When you are submitting your website link to directories, you are required to provide a short description of your business. This meta description is usually about two sentences long. The way you distribute your keywords in this description, technically referred to as meta description, determines the number of visitors you receive on your site. It is recommended that you use the primary keyword within the first 60 characters. If possible, place it at the beginning of the first sentence. This way, customers will find you easily. In addition, this use of SEO helps keep you ahead of competition since customers can find you easier than your competitors.

Keyword distribution in the main site content also matters. On the home page, you are required to write a few paragraphs describing what you do. Use the keyword on the first sentence of the first paragraph, and the last sentence of the last paragraph. Try to use its variations within the body, but strive to maintain a density of about 3 per cent. This way, you will be able to reach out to the relevant people within a very limited time and through very minimal efforts. SEO helps you advertise your business to the most relevant people, thus giving you a chance to make sales.

Effectiveness of SEO

I am sure every one of us has that one friend in his/her friend circle who was always ignored and whose presence made no impact on the gathering. Imagine you are at a reunion party with all your friends. You all are having a good time cracking jokes and taking about old times, but that one person is not involved at all. He is somewhat like a stranger to everybody. He wants to get noticed but he does not have the courage to talk or crack a joke. His jokes might be very funny but because he is quiet, no one knows about his jokes. Moreover, whenever he dares to speak something, his low and shaky voice is hidden easily in the laughter and voice of others. His influence on his friends is negligible and many of the people in the group do not even know if they know that person. Now imagine you are in the same position as that friend. I am sure you did not like being there... even in your thoughts! That person fails to be successful among his friends because he fails to, in some way, show the people what he is capable of. Had he been able to express himself, he would have been a happier man. In the same way, it is without a doubt true, that the success story of every business starts with an effective marketing team.

Internet has changed the way people deal with their businesses and expenses. Now, before going out to buy anything, many people prefer to Google and look up for the best deals on the internet. Internet is full of people giving the best deals but often, the website giving the better deals does not get many customers. Instead, most of the customers go to the website, which is more search engine friendly. It is a fact that out of all the results obtained after searching for something on any search engine, only the first few are visited. Many people do not even search the second page! For every person who is involved in internet business, it is very important that his website make it into those all-important first few results. This is impossible to be achieved without search engine optimization.

Search engine optimization or SEO is a subset of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and is a process of setting up your website so it achieves high rankings of search engine results pages for important keywords or key phrases. SEO uses a mixture of techniques, tools, and technical skills to get the desired results. Most of the traffic generated on the internet is from search engines. If you own an e-business, it is very important for your website to be search engine optimized and search engine friendly if you really want to survive the competitive world of e-business.

SEO can direct a huge number of motivated buyers to your website and this, in turn, increases the sales of your product. It is known to have a dramatic effect on many websites and is famous for gathering directed audiences and buyers from all over the world to your website, making your website a busy place, just the way you want it to be!

SEO indeed is an investment in your business, and an important one, because without it, your website is like that friend, having everything but getting no results or benefits. Many people hold the belief that SEO is a waste of money. They believe in other marketing techniques. You will be surprised to know that Search engine optimization is very cheap. In fact; SEO is the cheapest marketing tool on the internet. A search engine friendly website is almost guaranteed to be more famous than its competitive websites, which are search engine unfriendly.

SEO also helps you gain competitive advantage over your counterparts. In this competitive world, any edge over your competition is to be taken as granted. If you have more sales than your opponents do, then it is safe to say that your business is going in the right direction and you are at a comfortable position in the field. A competitive advantage is always needed in a business. SEO can give your business that competitive advantage which can make it almost certain for your product to be preferred over your opponents and in this way, improving the chances of your success in the business and making your product as reliable in the eyes of the audience as possible.

SEO will signify the new beginning for your business. Your new, search engine friendly website is guaranteed to beat the competition and make your business as successful as possible. SEO is done by all leading companies and is preferred by e-marketing experts. This marketing technique is changing the way people think about marketing and is changing the whole concept of e-business. In the future, the most sales are not going to be with the brand with just quality but with a brand with quality and SEO as its primary marketing technique. The effectiveness of SEO is indeed unquestionable and so are the returns it brings.

How SEO Started?

The Internet and its constantly growing reach and scope was the beginning of SEO. After that, search engines would be the second turning point in the history of the Internet, presenting the opportunity to put businesses at the fingertips of prospective clients. Next, SEO would follow after problems arose as to how to best organize websites on search engines.

During the mid - 1990s, content providers and Webmasters started utilizing websites for search engines as they were indexing the web pages located all over the Internet. In the beginning, the only thing needed to be submitted was the URL. Following that, the search engines would have web crawlers, also known as spiders, to find and return any information about that web page. The web crawler would also extract links to additional pages and then index those pages on its own server. So when a person was looking for something specific, he/she could type in a word or a group of words and a listing of web sites would appear. Sometimes the search query was an exact match, and sometimes it wasn't exactly a match.

The Internet in its infancy was ripe with ranking manipulation and other abuses by a number of webmasters. It did not take long for some of them to understand the value of keywords, and using SEO to their advantage. Before the coming of algorithms or any SEO Agency, webmasters would stuff web pages with meta tags containing data that was sometimes found to be unreliable. Web pages being ranked on search engines depended on the way webmasters would place key words.

The knowledge of key word density was also important because traffic equals money. Webmasters also knew how to manipulate HTML attributes on web pages so that these pages would rank higher. Things were looking up for dishonest webmasters, but it did not take long search engines to combat ranking manipulation.

In order to counteract lots of inaccurate representation among some web site's web pages, better SEO was implemented. Now web sites were ranked according to relevance. The need for someone who could properly manipulate these new standards in determining page rank allowed SEO agencies to take center stage.

SEO first became recognized when websites owners realized the importance of having their websites ranked and seen among the very first search engine results. The first documented usage of the term "search engine optimization" was by John Audete, founder of Multimedia Marketing Group in 1995.

Twitter

If Twitter didn't make this list, there is a good chance it wouldn't exist. The platform is designed to communicate on the run, so they have to be mobile. As of May 2011 Twitter updated their Mac app, allowing faster tweets and multiple timelines. The other formats have also been modified for speed, layout and increased flexibility. On an interesting note, there are 500 million active Twitter accounts in the world, which means almost 14% of the world population is tweeting their every move on a regular basis.

Skype

It was only a matter of time before Skype went mobile. As the first free Voice Over IP provider in the world, it only makes sense that they make use of a mobile app market to further their client base. Calls are free on IM and Verizon Wireless; other formats are recommended including iPhone, Symbian and Android. As always, the app is free.

Yelp

For anyone living under a smartphone rock over the last year, Yelp is the leading user-generated review resource in the North America, and soon the world. Once again, going mobile and doing it well makes good sense for Yelp. Users are much more likely to right a fabulous restaurant review when the taste of the meal is still in their mouths. Formats for most phones are available for free, and all are equally easy to use.

Bump

Bump is a true networking platform. Exchange contacts, friends, pictures simply by bumping the two phones together. It is surprisingly futuristic the first time using it, but fabulous at conventions when you meet 5000 people and only remember one name. Only developed for Android and the iPhone, other formats are on their way. To anyone security minded, bumping phones to share information may seem a little scary. Have no fear, you only share the data you want to share and you have to answer whether a connection is desired. No one can 'accidentally' knock into you and get your digits.

Swiftkey

Smartphones are great, except when you are trying to type. The teeny tiny keyboard is only really suitable for a gremlin, and that is one thing no one wants around their electronics. So along came autocorrect, and hilarity ensued. Now there is Swiftkey. It is an autocorrect, but without all the oddities of the generic ones we see everywhere. Developed in the UK, Swiftkey is currently only available for Androids but oh how smartphone users love it! Even the Consumer Affairs Editor at the Daily Telegraph said "...the best predictive text I have ever come across..."

There will always be users who have their favorite mobile apps they refuse to stop using, much like those who continue to use the old dial up fax machine instead of internet fax. All we can do is recommend the most innovative option available; meanwhile hoping someday they will see the light and take a baseball bat to that old Lexmark.

A More Socially Inclined Social Networking Design

Obviously, social community caters to what is socially engaging to the people within the social community. Meaning, people joined the network to get connected, to start relationships and to "get together" with other people of the same interest. Therefore, it is very crucial that a business' social networking design works to this end. There are actually so many ways to achieve this and what follows are just some of these ways.

One thing you can do is to design the site in such a way that it allows certain types of people to be grouped according to their interests or preferences. Users find it easier to comb through their social community communities if they can group their friends accordingly. Filtering is one function that users would love to have in their social networking site. They would want to keep certain groups of people apart to make it easier for them to personalize the amount of updates they wanted to see when they wanted to see it. Social website design must cater to this need to keep users coming back and keep them stay within the site and do favorable things for your business such as talking about your products and services.

It also makes sense to automatically group people with the same interests and preferences. It would be cool to have your social community designed this way. This helps users to expand their reach without necessarily giving too much effort in doing so. Another good way to pump up the social aspect of the site is to use social networking platforms (especially if it's free) and incorporate it on the company's social design. Doing so will definitely open up so many possibilities of interaction among the sites that are using the same platform and will enhance the social activities of the users in the site.

It is pretty obvious nowadays that social network in business is the trend and that many companies are taking advantage of this fact by creating a social networking site of their own. Some companies take the easier route by purchasing a social community script that they can just add on to their existing company website, tweak a little and then it's good to go. It is not that easy though to choose a good script for this. There are lots of different companies that sell different scripts (some may even be the same) and sometimes it can be hard to choose which one will bring the best on to the company's social networking endeavours.
